The WWE NXT episode of July 9, 2024, will address the fallout from the NXT Heatwave event. The biggest development to handle is the change in the NXT Championship. Ethan Page captured the title in a fatal 4-way match after Trick Williams inadvertently knocked him on top of Je’Von Evans, leading to the pinfall. Another significant aftermath is Wes Lee’s continued struggles, as he failed to win the NXT North American Championship again. Tony D’Angelo did not take Lexis King’s callout lightly and granted him a shot at the NXT Heritage Cup.
The OC’s Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson will continue their NXT run, taking on OTM’s Lucien Price and Bronco Nima. This rivalry began with a face-off between Michin and Jaida Parker, with Jaida defeating Michin in a street fight last week. Karmen Petrovic and Arianna Grace, who teamed up on the Heatwave pre-show to defeat Jacy Jayne and Jasmyn Nyx, will now face each other in a singles match on NXT.
Gallus will also be in action, as Mark Coffey and Wolfgang face newcomers Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe. The OC is expected to win their match against OTM and potentially call out the tag team champions for a rematch. Similarly, Gallus is speculated to defeat Dupont and Igwe, continuing their heated feud.
