The December 13 episode of Friday Night SmackDown promises an exciting night of action and story development as the Blue brand sets the stage for the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event special. Airing live from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, this episode will feature key matches in the Women’s U.S. Title Tournament and intense developments in ongoing rivalries.
Michin is set to face “Ms. Money in the Bank” Tiffany Stratton in a highly anticipated semifinal bout of the Women’s United States Title Tournament. With Tiffany leading their past encounters 2-1 but Michin winning their most recent clash, this match will decide who advances to the final. In the other semifinal, Bayley takes on Chelsea Green. Bayley, a former multi-time champion, has overcome fierce opponents like Candice LeRae and B-Fab, while Chelsea earned her spot by defeating Bianca Belair and Blair Davenport. Both women will leave everything in the ring for a chance to compete for the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Solo Sikoa and his faction, reeling from their loss to Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk at Survivor Series, have made it clear they’re still a dominant force. With Jimmy Uso sidelined due to injury and Jey Uso attacked backstage last week by Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns finds himself vulnerable. Expect Sikoa and his group to use this opportunity to send a powerful message to the original Bloodline faction.
Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens continue to escalate their feud ahead of their Undisputed WWE Title match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. After Owens attacked Rhodes’ injured ankle last week, tensions are at an all-time high. With Owens likely to target Rhodes again on this episode, the champion will need to tread carefully to avoid further injury.
