The January 8 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite will be broadcast live from the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has revealed the match card and segments for the upcoming event. Ahead of Wednesday night, here’s a preview of what to expect.
Toni Storm is set to compete against Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale in a three-way match. The winner will secure the top spot in the women’s Casino Gauntlet, scheduled for next Wednesday during AEW Dynamite Maximum Carnage. The men’s Casino Gauntlet will also take place this week, with the victor earning the right to challenge Jon Moxley for the world championship at Maximum Carnage. Last week, Swerve Strickland, Jay White, and Roderick Strong faced off for the top position, with Jay White emerging as the winner. Additionally, Tony Khan has confirmed a match between Will Ospreay and Buddy Matthews. Matthews seeks revenge after Ospreay eliminated his House of Black ally, Brody King, from the Continental Classic.
Kenny Omega will make his much-anticipated return to AEW Dynamite after an extended absence. Fans are eager to see what’s next for Omega, especially after his classic match against Gabe Kidd at Wrestle Dynasty. Omega’s return brings both excitement and mystery, potentially setting up new rivalries.
MJF, The Salt of the Earth, will also appear live on the show. Having already set his sights on AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, fans expect MJF to make his intentions clear and potentially confront The Purveyor of Violence.
Bobby Lashley continues his dominant run in AEW and will compete against Mark Briscoe. Since his debut with The Hurt Syndicate, Lashley has been undefeated and aims to maintain his streak. He previously defeated former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland at Full Gear and hopes to score another major victory.
