AEW taped the November 16, 2024, episode of Collision at the MVP Arena in Albany, NY, delivering an action-packed evening filled with electrifying matches and unexpected moments. With Full Gear on the horizon, the show set the stage for high-stakes clashes. This exciting episode will air Saturday at 8 PM ET. Here are the highlights:

Mina Shirakawa kicked off the night with a crowd-pleasing victory over Harley Cameron, pinning her with the Glamorous Driver. Mina’s charisma made her an instant favorite with the Albany crowd.

Daniel Garcia secured a dominant win over Johnny TV by making him tap out to the Cobra Clutch. The match took a chaotic turn when Jack Perry attacked Daddy Magic at the commentary table, dragging him backstage in a heated brawl.

Shelton Benjamin, accompanied by MVP, overpowered Komander in a thrilling contest. Benjamin sealed the win with a devastating powerslam, but the post-match drama stole the spotlight. MVP demanded Benjamin unmask Komander, but Alex Abrahantes intervened, only to be taken out by MVP. Ultimately, Komander’s mask remained intact.

Powerhouse Hobbs showcased his dominance by defeating Bear Bronson with the Argentine Backbreaker (torture rack). Despite Bronson being backed by Beefcake Boulder and Jacked Jamison, Hobbs’ strength was unmatched.

The Acclaimed secured their spot in the 4-Way Tag Team title match at Full Gear by defeating Rush and Beast Mortos. Anthony Bowens pinned Mortos after hitting the Mic Drop. Before the match, Max Caster fired up the crowd with a politically charged freestyle, referencing Kamala Harris’ election loss.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviewed FTR, who teased a fresh chapter and a potential title shot against The Outrunners for the AEW World Tag Team titles. Dax Harwood emphasized it was time for new beginnings.

In a brutal main event, Mariah May retained her AEW Women’s World Championship against Anna Jay in a no-disqualification match. Using Storm Zero onto a steel chair, Mariah claimed victory in a bout filled with hardcore elements such as chairs, ladders, and barbed wire. Highlights included Anna’s superplex onto a metal guard rail. Post-match, Mina Shirakawa joined Mariah for an in-ring celebration, hinting at their Champagne Celebration set for Full Gear.

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley delivered a scathing video promo targeting Orange Cassidy. Referring to Cassidy as a “cold-blooded snake,” Moxley highlighted his role in injuring Chuck Taylor and questioned Cassidy’s resilience. He declared that Cassidy’s upcoming match against Wheeler Yuta on Dynamite would reveal his true character. Moxley promised to solidify his legacy at Full Gear and boldly stated that those unable to endure his brutal wrestling style should step aside.
