ROH Death Before Dishonor 2024 is set to take place on July 26 at Esports Stadium in Arlington, TX, where AEW and ROH are in residency for one month. Mark Briscoe, who became the ROH World Champion by defeating Eddie Kingston at ROH SuperCard of Honor 2024 in April, will defend his title against former ROH World Champion Roderick Strong. Briscoe successfully defended his title against Kyle Fletcher on June 20 and now faces Strong, who held the belt from September 2010 to March 2011. Athena, the longest-reigning ROH Women’s World Champion, having held the title since Final Battle 2022, will defend her championship against Queen Aminata, entering the event as champion for 594 days.
Other championship matches include Billie Starkz defending the ROH Women’s World TV Championship against Red Velvet, Wheeler Yuta putting the ROH Pure Championship on the line against Lee Moriarty, and Atlantis Jr. competing in a 6-man Survival of the Fittest match for the ROH World TV Championship against Brian Cage, Johnny TV, Lee Johnson, Lio Rush, and Shane Taylor. Additionally, the card features a Texas Deathmatch between Diamante and Layla Hirsch. With a total of ten matches announced, the event is headlined by Mark Briscoe defending his ROH World Championship against Roderick Strong and Athena looking to continue her reign against Queen Aminata.
