TNA Slammiversary 2024 is set to take place on July 20, 2024, airing live from the Verdun Auditorium in Montreal, Canada. The main card will start at 8 PM ET, following a one-hour pre-show beginning at 7 PM ET. On the June 20 episode of IMPACT, Moose celebrated retaining the TNA World Championship against Matt Hardy at the Against All Odds event. Santino Marella announced that a six-way elimination match would take place at Slammiversary for Moose’s title, with qualifying matches starting that same night.
At the WWE NXT Battleground 2024 event, Ash by Elegance appeared during Jordynne Grace’s challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship, stopping Tatum Paxley from stealing the belt. At Against All Odds, Ash attempted to attack Grace after her victory over Paxley for the Knockouts title. On the following IMPACT episode, Ash hit an enhancement talent with Grace’s finisher, the Jagguernaut Driver. When Grace confronted her, Ash took her down and stood over her with the title. Grace was ready to grant Ash a title shot, but Ash’s Concierge announced that the match would take place at Slammiversary.
Mustafa Ali interfered during the #1 contender match for Against All Odds, causing Mike Bailey to lose to Trent Seven. Ali retained his title at Against All Odds and later announced on the June 27 IMPACT episode that he would face Bailey at Slammiversary to prove his doubters wrong. Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards of The System will defend their TNA World Tag Team Championship against Ace Austin and Chris Bey of ABC, with speculation favoring The System to retain. “Broken” Matt Hardy will take on JDC (formerly Fandango) in a singles match, with predictions leaning towards Hardy for the win. Mustafa Ali will defend his TNA X Division Championship against Mike Bailey, with rumors suggesting Bailey will emerge victorious and claim the title. Jordynne Grace will defend her TNA Knockouts World Championship against Ash by Elegance (formerly Dana Brooke), with Grace expected to retain her title. Finally, Moose will defend his TNA World Championship in a six-man elimination match against Nic Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler), Josh Alexander, Joe Hendry, Steve Maclin, and Frankie Kazarian, with Moose speculated to retain his championship.
