The October 8, 2024, episode of WWE NXT marks the second installment of NXT’s debut on the CW network. Following last week’s premiere, the show continues its run from The Factory at The District in Chesterfield, Missouri. WWE has lined up several pay-per-view-worthy matches and segments, featuring some of the biggest stars on the NXT roster.
It has been officially announced that Sexxy Red will make her return to NXT during this second night of the season premiere. Speculation suggests that she may be involved in multiple in-ring and backstage segments, with the possibility of hosting the show as well. In one of the night’s highlighted matches, Nathan Frazer and Axiom will defend their WWE NXT Tag Team titles against Grayson Waller and Austin Theory of A-Town Down Under. According to predictions, Frazer and Axiom are expected to retain their titles.
Another high-stakes matchup will see Oba Femi putting his NXT North American Championship on the line in a singles match against Tony D’Angelo. Despite possible interference from the Family, Femi is anticipated to secure a victory and retain his championship. Additionally, after last week’s segment, Kelani Jordan will team up with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill to face Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx in a six-women tag team bout. Jordan, Belair, and Cargill are expected to come out on top.
Randy Orton is also scheduled to be in action, facing the youngest member of the NXT roster, Je’Von Evans. While Evans may put up a valiant fight, Orton is likely to win the match and demonstrate sportsmanship afterward. Meanwhile, Jey Uso revealed during the October 7 episode of Raw Talk that he will be staying in St. Louis for another night to attend NXT’s season premiere. While his exact role on the show remains unknown, fans are eager to see what the Intercontinental Champion will bring to the episode.
