The August 13th edition of WWE NXT promises to be an action-packed night, as it addresses the fallout from last week’s events and sets the stage for upcoming storylines. Fans can catch all the action live from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, FL, at 8 PM Eastern on the USA Network.
Last week, Oba Femi announced that he would be defending his NXT North American Championship, although his opponent was not initially revealed. WWE has now confirmed that Femi will face Otis, who accepted the open challenge following RAW. Wren Sinclair, after a significant victory last week, earned a title shot for the NXT Qualifying Cup Championship (NQCC). Tony D’Angelo will defend his NXT Heritage Cup against Charlie Dempsey in a British Rounds match. The Supersonic Duo, Axiom and Nathan Frazer, are set to defend their NXT Tag Team Championship against Andre Chase and Ridge Holland of Chase University. Additionally, Lexis King will take on Eddy Thorpe in a singles match. While Thorpe is expected to secure the win, it’s anticipated that Lexis King will launch a post-match attack on Thorpe following his loss.
