The August 20th edition of WWE NXT promises to be a thrilling night, packed with fallout from recent events and the setup for future storylines. Fans can tune in live from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, FL, at 8 PM Eastern on USA Network to catch all the action.
Ava took the initiative to ensure that competitors who hadn’t yet had a chance to vie for the crown would get their opportunity this time around. During the draw, she selected three names: Wren Sinclair, Adriana Rizzo, and Sol Ruca. Wren Sinclair has been on an impressive run lately, with her victory at the Great American Bash not only securing her spot in the NQCC but also helping Charlie Dempsey win the Heritage Cup title. Her inclusion in the Gauntlet Elimination match is expected to raise the stakes even higher. The August 20th NXT episode will also feature a triple threat match to determine the #1 contender for the NXT Championship. Joe Hendry, Wes Lee, and Pete Dunne will compete, with the winner earning a title shot against Ethan Page at No Mercy. Hendry is the favorite due to his popularity and ongoing feud with Page.
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez will defend her title against the winner of a six-woman Gauntlet Eliminator Match featuring Wren Sinclair, Adrianna Rizzo, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, Kendal Grey, and Karmen Petrovic, with the victor challenging Perez at No Mercy. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger will continue their rivalry with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a tag team match, following their encounter at Hank & Tank’s Great American Bash BBQ. Lola Vice will face Wendy Choo, looking to bounce back after a failed NXT Women’s Championship bid, while Choo continues to stir up the NXT women’s division. Additionally, new NXT Tag Team Champions Chase U (Andre Chase and Ridge Holland) will celebrate their victory, and Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis will compete against Dion Lennox.
