The third annual NXT Deadline is set to take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, live from the Minneapolis Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This marks WWE’s first major event in Minneapolis since 2019’s TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs. It is also one of the final WWE Network live events for international viewers, as WWE’s streaming content transitions to Netflix starting January 2025.
In the main event, NXT Champion Trick Williams defends his title against Ridge Holland. Holland, fresh off his victory over Andre Chase on the November 19 episode of NXT, has been positioned as a dangerous and despised challenger. The feud reached its boiling point when Holland attacked Williams on the December 4 episode, leaving the champion stretchered out after a brutal assault. Despite Holland’s dominance, Williams is expected to retain his title and solidify his reign.
The men’s Iron Survivor Challenge will feature Wes Lee, Je’Von Evans, Nathan Frazer, Ethan Page, and Eddy Thorpe in a high-stakes, 25-minute contest. The winner earns a future shot at the NXT Championship. Similarly, the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge includes Sol Ruca, Zaria, Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, and Wren Sinclair, with the winner also securing a title opportunity.
Nathan Frazer and Axiom will defend their NXT Tag Team Championships against Myles Borne and Tavion Heights. The challengers earned their spot by winning a battle royal on the December 3 episode of NXT, setting the stage for a competitive showdown.
A heated rivalry between Lola Vice and Jaida Parker culminates in an NXT Underground Match. With no ropes and victory only achievable via knockout or referee stoppage, the stakes are higher than ever. This follows their brutal Street Fight at the 2300 Arena, where Parker delivered a decisive win with a brick-assisted finish.
