The October 7, 2024, episode of Monday Night Raw will air live from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. This episode will be the fall-out from WWE Bad Blood 2024, kicking off the two-hour show with a packed lineup, including two title matches and other exciting segments.
Coming off the heels of the epic WWE Bad Blood 2024 Premium Live Event, where CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell, Liv Morgan retained the WWE Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley thanks to a surprise return from Raquel Rodriguez, and Damian Priest overcame Finn Balor, the road to WWE Survivor Series 2024 begins. Survivor Series is expected to feature War Games matches for both the men’s and women’s divisions, and this week’s Raw should provide more clarity on the teams.
Three matches are already confirmed for this week’s Raw: Gunther (c) vs. Sami Zayn for the World Heavyweight Championship, Sheamus vs. Pete Dunne in a Donnybrook Match, and Jey Uso (c) vs. Xavier Woods for the Intercontinental Championship. Last week’s episode also saw Seth Rollins make a shocking return, costing Bronson Reed his Last Monster Standing Match against Braun Strowman as payback for Reed’s previous attacks. Meanwhile, Killer Kross continues to cause chaos by stirring conflict within The New Day and even between Awesome Truth.
Gunther will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn, a match expected to close the show. This is a rematch from WrestleMania 40, though this time, it’s for the World Title. Speculation suggests that Gunther will retain his title, continuing his reign of dominance. Gunther has several potential challengers lining up, including Seth Rollins, Damian Priest, CM Punk, and even Goldberg, all of whom have set their sights on the World Title in recent weeks.
In a Donnybrook Match, Sheamus seeks revenge against Pete Dunne following his loss to Dunne two weeks ago on Raw. Their feud stems from their history in the Brawling Brutes, and while Dunne hasn’t fully explained his betrayal, it appears he felt overlooked during his time as Butch. Sheamus, on the other hand, is eager for another shot at the Intercontinental Title to complete his Grand Slam, but first, he must overcome Dunne.
Jey Uso will put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Xavier Woods of The New Day. This will be Jey’s first title defense, and Woods is determined to win. However, there are rumors that Kofi Kingston could inadvertently cost Woods the match, leading to tension between the two New Day members. Speculation also points to Sheamus defeating Pete Dunne in their Donnybrook Match to settle their rivalry once and for all.
