The August 19, 2024 episode of WWE RAW will feature The New Day in action, a Women’s Tag Team Championship match, and a singles clash between Sheamus and Pete Dunne. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day will team up with Odessey Jones in a trios match against The Final Testament, consisting of Karrion Kross, Akam, and Rezar. Kross has been stirring tension between Kofi and Woods, even suggesting that Kofi is trying to replace Big E with Jones. Woods challenged The Final Testament to another tag team match, but Kofi insisted on a trios match to prevent interference, leading to Jones joining them. The challenge was accepted, setting the stage for a high-stakes encounter.
The Women’s Tag Team Championship will be on the line in a triple threat match. The reigning champions, The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn), will defend their titles against Damage CTRL (Iyo Sky & Kairi Sane) and Pure Fusion Collective (Zoey Stark & Shayna Baszler). The Unholy Union’s attack on both teams during their match caused a double disqualification, leading to this high-stakes showdown. Additionally, former stablemates Pete Dunne and Sheamus will finally settle their differences in a singles match. Dunne has repeatedly clashed with Sheamus, expressing his frustration over being renamed Butch during his main roster debut. Their rivalry will come to a head next week on RAW. The August 19 episode will air live from Fort Lauderdale, FL, with more exciting matches expected to be announced.
