The June 21, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown, episode #1297, will continue the build-up for Money in the Bank 2024 PLE and feature a special appearance from CM Punk in his hometown of Chicago, IL. Punk is set to update fans on his medical status, following his controversial actions that cost Drew McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship in Scotland.
Additionally, Cody Rhodes, having just overcome the threat of AJ Styles, now faces Solo Sikoa, who has emerged as his next challenger. A brawl erupted as all members of the new Bloodline targeted Cody. Two men’s Money in the Bank qualifier matches are scheduled, including a bout featuring Kevin Owens, Grayson Waller, and Andrade. During the Clash at the Castle: Scotland Post-Show, Punk promised to provide a health update this Friday. He has much to address, particularly after his involvement in the main event of Clash at the Castle: Scotland, where he donned a referee’s shirt and refused to count to three as Drew McIntyre pinned World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest for a potential title win.
