The August 9, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown is set to be a must-watch as the fallout from SummerSlam 2024 continues, with the return of Roman Reigns to the brand and a live appearance by AJ Styles. LA Knight, who won his first United States Championship by defeating Logan Paul at SummerSlam, will make his debut appearance as the US Champion on this week’s show. Roman Reigns, who made a dramatic return at SummerSlam by attacking Solo Sikoa, is also scheduled to return to SmackDown. Fans can expect Reigns to address his future, with speculation suggesting a possible confrontation with Solo Sikoa and the new Bloodline. Additionally, Nia Jax, who captured the WWE Women’s Championship by defeating Bayley at SummerSlam, will be showcasing her new title, and a championship celebration with Tiffany Stratton is planned. Cody Rhodes, who successfully defended his title against Solo Sikoa, is also set to appear on this week’s SmackDown.
Roman Reigns, the “Original Tribal Chief,” made a significant impact at SummerSlam by helping Cody Rhodes defeat Solo Sikoa. Now, Roman is set to appear on the blue brand this week. Three major title changes occurred at SummerSlam, with Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga of The Bloodline becoming the new WWE Tag Team Champions, LA Knight winning the United States Championship, and Nia Jax capturing the WWE Women’s Championship.
